Airmail to Russia will once again be accepted at post office counters.
Postmaster General Ranjith Ariyaratne said delays however could be reported in deliveries.
The Postmaster General earlier said airmail to Russia will not be accepted at post offices owing to the conflict surrounding the Aeroflot aircraft being detained.
However, issuing a statement, Ariyaratne said with the matter now being resolved, airmail to Russia will once again be accepted.
Aeroflot flight SU-289 that was detained in Sri Lanka, left for Moscow, Russia last evening.
The Colombo Commercial High Court yesterday suspended the enjoining order issued banning the Aeroflot flight from leaving the BIA.
