Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to make a special statement in Parliament on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Wickremesinghe will deliver a statement regarding the country’s financial situation.
Subsequently, a Parliamentary debate will be held on Prime Minister’s statement.
The decision on the debate was taken during a party leaders’ meeting held in Parliament today.
Speaking to media after the meeting, Parliamentarian Vasudeva Nanayakkara said next week’s Parliament sittings will be worked-off from Tuesday to Friday.
MP Nanayakkara said debates on the Prime Minister’s statements, amendments to the Appropriation Bill and amendments to the Treasury Bill Ordinance will be taken up for next week.
On Friday, the vote of condolence for the late Parliamentarian Amarakeerthi Athukorala will be taken up.
