Our Power of People Party Parliamentarian Ven. Athuraliye Rathana thera says Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa or the Foreign Minister must officially inquire into the brutal killing of Sri Lankan Priyantha Kumara, who was employed at a factory in Pakistan.
Speaking in Parliament today, the thera condemned the killing.
Meanwhile, a group of government Parliamentarians decided to submit a letter to the Pakistan High Commission in Sri Lanka in opposition to the inhumane murder of Priyantha Kumara.
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Parliamentarian Wasantha Yapa Bandara said the letter will be handed over this evening.
MP Bandara said the public is shaken by this inhumane murder in public.
He called on activists who stand for religious freedom to condemn and speak against such incidents.
MP Bandara claimed the President has ensured peace and freedom in the country and has ensured that citizens can coexist.
