Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa requests citizens to not have under fear pertaining to shortages of food and fuel during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year period.
Prime Minister Rajapaksa noted that he understands the difficulties faced by the general public at present.
Speaking during an event held virtually at the Temple Trees today, the Prime Minister said the present administration is taking all measures to overcome the challenges.
Premier Mahinda Rajapaksa said since they were keen to overcome the financial crisis, they called for an All Party Conference recently.
The Premier said they are willing to take all practical measures even from the opposition to overcome the crisis.
Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa stressed that it is not the time to politicise issues in the country but a period to unite and work for the betterment of Sri Lanka.
Prime Minister Rajapaksa noted that they are not responsible for the COVID-19 crisis although some factions have alluded that it is also the fault of the present administration.
The Premier requested all those who boycotted the APC to attend future meetings and present their proposals in order to move forward.
