Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena has appreciated the generous humanitarian assistance extended to Sri Lanka by the people of India.
Premier Gunawardena in a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi had thanked the Indian government for its assistance during the past several weeks.
The Prime Minister in his response to the congratulatory letter from Premier Modi has said the enduring ties of friendship between India and Sri Lanka have flourished over the years into a mutually rewarding partnership across multiple spheres.
