The Samagi Jana Balawegaya charges that facts put forth by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Energy pertaining to the fuel supply is contradictory.
Speaking during a media briefing today, Parliamentarian Rajitha Senaratne said relevant individuals lack practical knowledge of the incidents unfolding at Ministries.
MP Senaratne said the Minister made a statement in Parliament yesterday and stated that fuel will be available as usual from today while the Prime Minister yesterday informed that the next three weeks will be tough.
The Parliamentarian added this is the clear difference between a renowned politician and a Minister who lacks experience.
The MP charged that subject Ministers must refrain from making statements based on reports submitted by officials adding that management skills must be used and inquiries must be made into the accuracy of such reports.
On a separate noted MP Senaratne said the President has claimed that he doesn’t want to leave as a failed leader and rued that the President lacks political knowledge and understanding.
MP Senaratne said public anger and rage at the government led to the unrest and violence on the 9th of May, adding that this situation will not diminish until this rage is addressed.
