The non-partisan people’s struggle at Galle Face entered day 33 today.
NewsRadio correspondents said despite the curfew in place, a large number of individuals had gathered at Galle Face.
Many strictures that were set up at Galle Face were demolished and destroyed by pro-Rajapaksa supporters on Monday, while the anti-government protesters have gradually re-established the structures.
Meanwhile, Police today announced via loudspeakers for protesters to vacate Galle Face citing that public gathering is illegal amidst a state of emergency and an island wide curfew.
However, the peaceful, non-partisan people’s struggle continues despite such directives.
