The Department of Immigration and Emigration has announced that its head office and other regional offices will remain open as usual today, despite being declared a holiday for government offices.
The Department said such measures are being taken to ensure essential services provided are maintained without interruption.
Meanwhile, the Emigration Department has announced that it had issued 31,725 passports during the first 10 days of the month of June.
Accordingly, it had issued over 3,000 passports daily under the one-day service while around 10,000 passports had been issued under the normal service.
