Another special round of discussions will be held between party leaders representing Parliament pertaining to the 21st Amendment to the Constitution.
The first round of discussions was held last Friday.
The party leaders decided to re-enact certain provisions of the 19th Amendment in the form of the 21st Amendment to the Constitution during the previous round of discussions.
The Prime Minister’s Media Division said the party leaders consented to abolishing the Executive Presidency as a second step.
Accordingly, political parties have since tabled their proposals to the draft 21st Amendment to the Constitution, while the proposals are due to be taken up for discussion today.
The amended draft is subsequently due to be tabled at the Cabinet of Ministers meeting that will take place on Monday.
