The Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court today issued an overseas travel ban on six activists on charges of damaging public property during a protest on the 9th of June opposite the Police Headquarters.
The order was issued on the Convener of the Inter University Students Federation Wasantha Mudalige, Secretary of the Sri Lanka Teachers Union Joseph Stalin, Rangana Lakmal, Lahiru Weerasekera, Eranga Gunasekera and Fr. Jeewantha Peiris.
Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage after taking into consideration a request by the Colombo Fort Police Station issued the overseas travel ban.
