The order preventing Sri Lanka’s cloud database from being updated has been lifted.
NewsRadio Court correspondent said the order was issued by Colombo Chief Magistrate Buddhika Sri Ragala.
The order was issued when the case related to the data of the National Medicines Regulatory Authority being erased was taken up for consideration today.
State Counsel Deputy Solicitor General Dileepa Peiris represented the complainant in Court.
He informed Court that the data of the NMRA being erased could be the work of a conspiracy of persons engaged in racketeering imported medicinal drugs.
The Deputy Solicitor General said among the data erased is information of blacklisted drug companies, adding that this could pave way for such companies to once again engage in drug supplying.
He added an extensive investigation is being carried out into the incident.
The case will be taken up for hearing once again on the 9th of December.
