The Opposition says the Cabinet of Ministers should intervene actively to resolve the current power crisis in the country.
Speaking to News Radio, Parliamentarian Thushara Indunil Amarasena said Ministers of Power and Energy criticizing one another in front of media would not solve the power crisis.
MP Amarasena said while the Energy Minister is refusing to provide oil to the Ceylon Electricity Board, the Power Minister had been alerting the public that he will not be able to supply electricity uninterruptedly without necessary fuel stocks.
He said the drama is being played before the media but they are unwilling to discuss the matter within the Cabinet, where the President, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance are part of.
MP Amarasena said such actions are another indicator that the present government is governing the country like amateurs.
