Steps have been taken to commence an online payment method from tomorrow for applications for the issuance of permits to transport sand, rocks and soil.
The programme was introduced at the Geological Survey & Mines Bureau this morning.
1,000-2,000 individuals arrive at the main office of the Mines Bureau and divisional offices daily to obtain permits to transport sand, rocks and soil.
Through the online payment method, the number of individuals arriving at the offices can be reduced, as the public will be able to obtain services online.
777,000 permits have been issued by the Geological Survey & Mines Bureau thus far this year.
