The Presidential Task Force on ‘One Country, One Law’ has called on Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena and Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Dasanayake at the Parliament complex today.
Members of the Task Force sought the assistance of Members of Parliament to implement recommendations of the concept paper that will be submitted to the President after studying future activities of the Task Force and its progress.
Discussions were also held on the importance of formulating a national policy to ensure no community or religious group should be treated differently.
The President’s Media Division said the Task Force has thus far sought public views covering six provinces.
In addition, the Presidential Task Force said the public in other provinces will also be consulted.
