The Presidential Task Force on “One Country, One Law” says the report containing a series of proposals to enforce the concept will be submitted to relevant authorities before the due date.
Speaking to media in Kandy, Chairman Ven. Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera said that information is being gathered at present in order to compile the report.
Gnanasara Thera said they have been given four months to compile the report and they are currently obtaining views from across the country.
The Thera noted that they obtain views of the residents of the North and East and will continue to travel to other parts of the country.
Ven. Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera noted that the present Roman-Dutch Law has failed to unite all Sri Lankans as one nation and therefore they have been tasked to introduce the “One Country, One Law” concept.
