The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka has informed the Ceylon Electricity Board to refrain from imposing power cuts when the 2021 GCE Ordinary Level Examination is being worked off.
Chairman of the Commission Janaka Ratnayake speaking at a media briefing yesterday said relevant institutions have been informed to ensure sufficient fuel and water resources to generate power during this period.
The PUCSL also informed the CEB to refrain from imposing power cuts after 6.30pm between the 23rd of May and the 1st of June.
The PUCSL added that power cuts will not be enforced after 6pm on the 21st, 22nd, and 29th of May.
The 2021 O/Level Exam is due to commence on Monday, the 23rd of May.
