Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha says academic activities that could not be completed will be covered by conducting classes till the end of November from Monday, without a August holiday.
The Minister said after the conduct of the delayed Grade 5 Scholarship Examination on the 27th of November, the Advanced Level Examination will be conducted from the 28th of November to the 23rd of December.
Revision sessions have been organised through the university system for students sitting the upcoming Advanced Level Exam for 24 main subjects through an inter-provincial coordination effort.
The Ministry of Education said this programme is aimed at children who were unable to engage in education diligently owing to the coronavirus and the present crisis during the past two years.
The Ministry said teachers will accordingly be able to prepare students for the exam through additional teaching with classroom revision from the beginning of September.
