An intercity train service between the Colombo Fort Station and Badulla will commence today.

An intercity train service between the Colombo Fort Station and Badulla will commence today.

Accordingly, two train journeys have been added to the service with a train leaving the Fort Station to Badulla today while another leaving the Badulla station to Colombo tomorrow.

The Railway General Manager said new trains will operate at the same time as the night mails between Colombo and Badulla using the advanced S-14 power sets.

Accordingly, a train will leave the Colombo Fort station to Badulla at 8.30pm and another will leave the Badulla station to Colombo at 5.50pm daily.
