The JVP claims no solutions have been provided to the prevailing issues under the new Prime Minister and government.
Speaking during a protest in Ja-Ela yesterday, Propaganda Secretary of the JVP Parliamentarian Vijitha Herath said statements were made that queues will be brought to an end with the appointment of the leader of the United National Party Ranil Wickremesinghe as Prime Minister.
However, he charged that fuel and gas queues have increased threefold.
MP Herath said individuals are dying of various illnesses while in queues adding that clashes amongst the public have also been reported.
The Parliamentarian said the individual who led the country and its people to form queues, remains on the sidelines while the public continues to face the brunt of his actions.
He claimed they will continue the true people’s struggle until a government that can rebuild the nation and end public suffering is formed.
