The remains of the late Consul General of Sri Lanka in Milan Visharada Neela Wickramasinghe who passed away due to a sudden illness will be repatriated to Sri Lanka today.
The flight carrying the body is scheduled to land at 3.15pm and family members of late Consul General Wickramasinghe will receive the remains at the BIA.
The Foreign Ministry said the repatriation process is being coordinated by the Ministry in consultation with the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Milan, Italy.
Neela Wickramasinghe passed away on the 17th of January of a heart attack.
