Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekara says the National Fuel Pass QR code system was successfully tested at 20 locations islandwide with 4,708 vehicles.
In a Tweet, the Minister noted the system was tested at 25 locations by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation.
However, five locations could not be tested due to the non placement of orders, delays in placing orders, and delays in delivery of fuel.
Minister Wijesekara said the system will be trialled at the five locations during the next five days.
As of last night, more than 3.5 million individuals had registered for the National Fuel Pass.
