Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa is currently recording a statement at the Criminal Investigation Department.

The Parliamentarian is being questioned over the unrest reported on the 9th of May opposite the Temple Trees and at Galle Face.

MP Rajapaksa is among the group named by the Attorney General to record statements or be arrested in relation to the unrest based on the evidence that is uncovered.
