State Minister Duminda Dissanayake says steps will be taken to add 30.5 megawatts to the national power grid through the Moragolla Hydropower Project before the end of 2023.
Speaking during an observational tour of the Moragolla Project, State Minister Dissanayake said a special discussion will be held on the 12th to identify project issues and resolve them.
The State Minister said there are more Hydropower Plants that could supply power to the national grid at very low costs.
He said they were unable to achieve the target of supplying power to the national grid during the COVID-19 pandemic.
State Minister Dissanayake said more Power Plants are being constructed in the country adding they hope to add these to the national grid as promptly.
