A minor technical issue has been reported at the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery.
The Refinery was due to commence operations today (30) after three months.
Minister of Energy Kanchana Wijesekera said the CPC technical staff is working on fixing the issue to restart the refinery.
The refinery suspended operations on the 20th of March due to the lack of crude oil.
With the procurement of a shipment of Russian oil to produce fuel at the Sapugaskanda refinery, the refinery would be able to produce fuel in six days.
