Minister of Agriculture and Minister of Wildlife Mahinda Amaraweera says he will resign from his portfolio today.
The Minister informed that he will resign after accepting a consignment of fertiliser donated by the Indian government within the day.
Minister Amaraweera becomes the fourth Minister to inform of his resignation within the past 24 hours.
Earlier today, Harin Fernando, Manusha Nanayakkara, and Bandula Gunawardana resigned from their respective Ministerial portfolios.
An individual has been arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division for forging documents and embezzling money.
