Minister of Transport Dilum Amunugama is scheduled to hold talks with private bus operators, tomorrow.
Speaking to NewsRadio, Minister Amunugama said talks will focus on the decision to revise bus fares or provide a diesel subsidy due to the increase in diesel prices.
Minister Amunugama said bus owners had agreed to maintain the existing fares, if the fuel price increased by Rs. 20 rupees.
However, the Minister said a decision has to be taken in this regard, since fuel prices increased by a significant amount.
Transport Minister Dilum Amunugama further said a final decision will be taken with the Minister of Finance, after discussions with bus operators and union representatives.
