A person who was injured in a shooting in the Midigama Police Division has died after being admitted to the Walana Hospital.
The deceased was revealed to be a 46 year old resident of the Turkish village in Midigama.
Police said the suspect who fired the weapon has been identified.
The Midigama and Weligama Police are conducting a joint operation to arrest the suspect.
