The Chief Prelate of the Asgiri Chapter, most venerable Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Thera says on the day, which marks the end of a challenging year and the dawn of a New Year, all should unite to resolve the current crisis.
While blessing the New Year, Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Thera emphasized that both rulers and the public should unite to build the country.
Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Thera said the country is facing a major crisis at present.
The Chief Prelate of the Asgiri Chapter noted that it is important for all political parties and followers of religions to unite and save the country from the current crisis.
Meanwhile, the Anunayake of the Malwathu Chapter Dimbulkumbure Sri Wimaladhamma thera has also extended his blessings for the New Year 2022.
Wimaladhamma thera emphasized that at the beginning of the New Year, Sri Lanka should focus on how the rest of the world overcame all obstacles and rose again after facing a number of challenges.
Wimaladhamma thera said the year 2021; Sri Lanka faced major crisis in a number of sectors.
The thera noted countries such as Korea, Vietnam and Thailand rose back as strong nations after facing calamities.
Dimbulkumbure Sri Wimaladhamma thera said therefore all political parties and religious groups should unite and rebuild Sri Lanka as a strong nation.
