The Litro Gas Company today informed the Court of Appeal that gas that meets the standards approved by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution and the Consumer Affairs Authority will be released to the market in the future.
The company informed the matter through a Letter of Undertaking.
The company informed court that a sticker containing the composition of the gas cylinder will also be displayed on the cylinder.
The decision was conveyed when the writ petition filed by civil society activist Nagananda Kodituwakku seeking compensation for victims of the recent gas leak explosions was taken up for a third consecutive day today.
The petition will be taken up for consideration once again tomorrow.
