Sri Lanka Railways has informed that trains will function as usual from 8am today (12).
The Railways General Manager Dhammika Jayasundara speaking to NewsRadio however said only a limited number of trains will be in operation in the morning.
Long-distance trains will operate from tomorrow (13).
Jayasundara said train operations will be limited from 2pm today from Kalutara-South to Veyangoda when curfew is due to come into effect once again.
However, several trains will function after curfew comes into place as well.
Sri Lanka Railways requested commuters who wish to travel by train in order to inquire into train operations by contacting 1971.
