The National Building Research Organisation has issued landslide warnings in seven districts owing to the incessant rain experienced over the island.
Accordingly, warnings have been issued in the Matara, Nuwara-Eliya, Ratnapura, Galle, Hambantota, Kandy, and Kegalle districts.
The NBRO said the seven districts have experienced more than 75mm of rain during the past 24-hours and therefore landslide warnings have been issued.
The NBRO requested residents in these districts to remain vigilant of earth slips, rock falls, and cave-ins.
