Parliamentarian Kumara Welgama has been assaulted.
An angry mob assaulted the Parliamentarian adjacent to the Makumbura Entrance to the Southern Expressway.
Police said MP Welgama, who sustained minor injuries, has been admitted to the Homagama Base Hospital for treatment.
