The JVP accuses the government of not having a good plan to overcome the economic crisis in the country.
Speaking to media in Embilipitiya, politburo member of the JVP Sunil Handunnetti said this fact was proved through its inability to solve the LP gas and fuel shortage in the market.
He pointed out that people were suffering in the heat, and under strong rains to obtain fuel and gas.
Handunnetti proposed that an efficient programme for gas distribution will be enacted if they come to power.
He claimed that people expressed a sense of trust when the JVP spoke of coming to power to provide solutions.
Sunil Handunnetti claimed that a system needs to be introduced to resolve the economic crisis.
He commented that such a change needs to come from the top.
Handunnetti also spoke on the future repercussions of not resolving these issues as soon as possible.
He questioned the state of the economy we would leave for the future generations.
Handunnetti said it was unfair for the people to utilise state services such as free education and healthcare, only to leave nothing for the next generation.
