State Minister of Aviation and Export Zones Development DV Chanaka says international flights will commence from the Ratmalana Airport from the 29th of this month.
Flights to destinations such as South India and the Maldives are set to begin.
The State Minister said two airlines have already expressed interest in launching regional and international flights.
