Parliamentarian Vasudeva Nanayakkara says his faction will not attend talks with the government Parliamentary group scheduled to be held today.
Speaking to media, MP Nanayakkara said he too was invited for the talks but will not attend as he is now part of the opposition.
MP Nanayakkara said he received a phone call confirming the government group meeting today.
He noted that when inquired further of the meeting, it was communicated that the meeting is being held under the patronage of the President and the Prime Minister.
He reiterated that he is not part of the government and is now a member of the opposition, and therefor conveyed that he will not attend the meeting.
