Experts have called for the appointment of a Task Force to implement the recommendations included in the report compiled by the committee appointed to investigate the recent gas leak explosions reported in the country.
Speaking to media, member of the committee Professor WDW Jayatilake of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura said even analyzing the report is a major task.
Professor WDW Jayatilake said he personally believes a Task Force is required to analyze and implement the recommendations.
He said they have included detailed recommendations after obtaining views from a large segment of society including, the Consumer Affairs Authority, Sri Lanka Standard Institution, Litro and Laughs gas companies.
Professor WDW Jayatilake is of the view that the recommendations must be implemented promptly after assessing them to avoid a repeat.
