The Kegalle Magistrate’s Court today ordered the Inspector General of Police to arrest and produce before Court the Policemen involved in the shooting of an individual at Rambukkana on the 19th of April.

Kegalle Magistrate Wasana Nawarathna informed Court that according to the report submitted by the Judicial Medical Officer, the individual died of gunshot injuries.

A tense situation was reported in Rambukkana on the 19th of April with area residents engaging in protests from morning demanding a steady supply of fuel and against the recent fuel price revision.
