Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Parliamentarian Dilan Perera says the Chairman of the Litro Gas Lanka Limited should be removed from his post.
Speaking to media in Colombo, MP Perera said that if the process of supplying gas was not carried out appropriately, it would not be fruitful for the persons concerned to remain in office.
The Parliamentarian claimed he was one of the first individuals to propose seeking assistance from the International Monetary Fund.
He also claimed he proposed changing the portfolios of the Ministers of Energy and Power when conflict of opinions arose.
The MP said the government could prosper if it adhered to his proposals claiming he is an experienced and prominent politician even though he is not a member of the ‘Viyath Maga’ organisation.
MP Perera cited the shortage of dollars as the root cause of all other shortages at present including fuel, gas, and milk powder.
He said vessels carrying shipments of these items are arriving at the Port adding however payments are not made in a timely manner.
The Parliamentarian said the relevant subject Ministers must look into the delays.
