Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara says he cannot continue in his Ministerial post, following the recent developments.

Speaking at a media briefing in Colombo today alongside the recently sacked Wimal Weerawansa and Udaya Gammanpila, the Minister of Water Supply did not make a clear statement on issuing his resignation.

In reply to questions raised by media, Minister Nanayakkara said he is not looking into activities of his Ministry.

A number of political parties affiliated to the government are currently holding a press conference at a leading hotel in Colombo.

Many bigwigs of the government were present at the media briefing.

Speaking at the event, former Minister Wimal Weerawansa said he will not go behind on his actions, even if the government promises re-appointment, privileges or concessions.
