Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa says during his term as President he was able to put an end to the dark era of 30 years during which the people in the North lost their right to life and development.

The Jaffna Dedicated Economic Centre was declared open by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa this morning.

Speaking during the opening ceremony Prime Minister Rajapaksa said his administration was able to provide highways, drinking water, power supply, schools, hospitals and clear mines within two to three years.

The Premier claimed the country including Jaffna did not receive a single proposal regarding highways or power supply during the term of the good governance government.

Premier Rajapaksa claimed the development that was halted recommenced after 2019.
