All trade unions in the government, semi-government, estate and private sectors have decided to launch a one-day island-wide strike tomorrow.
General Secretary of the Development Officers Service Union Chandana Sooriyaarachchi told NewsRadio that protests will be held tomorrow declaring it a day of national protests.
Sooriyaarachchi said protests will be held to convey their opposition to actions of the government.
He added stringent decisions will be taken against the government, if it continues to act arbitrarily.
Sooriyaarachchi said they will take all possible action in protest against the government, within a democratic framework.
He requested the administration to listen to the people.
