The National People’s Power says the President, the Prime Minister and the government are resorting to various strategies to protect their posts.
Speaking during a media briefing this morning, the Leader of the NPP Parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayake said the economic crisis cannot be addressed without resolving the political instability.
MP Dissanayake added while many factions have tabled proposals to ensure political stability, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa claimed an interim government will be established under his leadership.
The Parliamentarian added the psychological state of the present administration can be gauged through various outrageous statements.
He said the government does not possess the psychological capacity in order to resolve the prevailing crisis.
On a separate note, MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake said the National People’s Power will soon present information on several undisclosed cases against the present administration.
MP Dissanayake claimed they are in possession of a large number of files that are also currently at the Criminal Investigation Department, the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, the Attorney General’s Department and Court.
The MP said they lodged the complaints adding the allegations will be made against the Head of State, local councillors, high ranking government officials and businessmen.
