The Samagi Jana Balawegaya charges that the government has no plan or programme to secure fuel for the country after the 15th of June, once the Indian credit facility ends.
SJB National Organiser MP Tissa Attanayake said the country has seen shorter fuel queues due to the Indian credit facility with the public able to use their vehicles.
MP Attanayake however questioned the government’s plan to secure fuel after the 15th of this month, adding that the government is yet to table a plan, hold discussions, or provide a permanent solution despite being in power for close to a month.
The MP also charged that queues for gas continue to increase daily.
MP Attanayake claimed the government has failed to address the main issue, the daily rising cost of living.
