State Minister Shehan Semasinghe says the government has launched a new programme to attract foreign investments.
The State Minister said the government will work closely with countries in international affairs related to financial discipline.
State Minister Semasinghe speaking to media in Anuradhapura yesterday said 35% of the world’s investments have dropped and vowed to bring in foreign direct investments.
He said certain groups are trying to disrupt this process by sharing various opinions with the international community.
State Minister Semasinghe added that the government of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa reduced the debt rate by 72%, and charged the former administration of obtaining numerous loans and disrupting the debt repayment process.
