National Organizer of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya Tissa Attanayake says the government does not listen to the ideas of the opposition.
The MP pointed out that the government will face many difficulties in running the country, and providing solutions to the prevalent issues.
Speaking to media in Dambulla, the MP said the Opposition revealed in Parliament that going to the International Monetary fund was the only plausible solution to resolving the current foreign exchange crisis.
The MP commented that the IMF would not seize local properties but instead impose certain conditions on controlling state finance.
However he stressed that the government rejected the opposition’s suggestion to mediate talks between the government and the IMF.
MP Attanayake said Sri Lanka would be sidelined by the international community as a bankrupt nation, due to depleting reserves and decreasing imports.
