Leader of the Democratic Left Front Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara says individuals with decision-making powers within the government are undermining the focus towards victory targets.
Leaders of ten parties affiliated to the government together with Civil Organisations met today to discuss future steps pertaining to the decision to vest 40% shares of the Yugadanavi power plant in Kerawalapitiya to an American firm.
Speaking at the meeting named Peoples Council for a People oriented tomorrow, Minister Nanayakkara said Peoples Council will act as a forum for the public to voice their opposition against decisions of government leaders which would not benefit Sri Lanka.
The Council meeting was also held in the presence of other parliamentarians including Minister Wimal Weerawansa, Minister Udaya Gammanpila, MP Ven. Athuraliye Rathana thera, MP Tiran Alles and MP Prof. Tissa Vitharana.
