The government will resume issuing passports this morning.
The Department of Immigration and Emigration said the issuance of passports which was suspended due to urgent maintenance of the computer systems will resume for normal services this morning.
However, the one-day service will not be available. Applications will be accepted today only from individuals who made prior appointments to obtain passports on the 5th, 6th, and 9th of May under the normal service and individuals who submitted applications for passports on the 5th of May and obtained a number with a seal.
Accordingly, making prior appointments to hand over passport applications has been made mandatory from tomorrow (10).
