Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa says the government must resign.
Speaking at the opening of the Sri Siddhartha Dhamma School building in Khettarama yesterday the Opposition Leader charged the heads of the government of attempting to lay the blame on each other.
MP Premadasa claimed the entire government must accept the blame for pushing the country towards destitute.
The Opposition Leader further said there is no national security in the country at present.
MP Premadasa questioned how there is national security when there are gas leak explosions and liquid fertiliser explosions.
He claimed there are queues to obtain goods such as sugar, milk powder, rice and fuel, and children are unable to learn online.
The Opposition Leader said the price of a bag of cement was increased by Rs.100 recently, adding prices of fuel and all other goods were also increased.
He claimed it is regretful that although prices of goods are on the rise, the standard of living is declining.
