General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Dayasiri Jayasekara says the government leaders have no right to betray the country and take decisions that affect generations to come, merely since they receive a mandate for five years.
State Minister Jayasekara said multiple governments were formed previously without national policy on energy, oil and ports.
He said however they believed that the present administration will have a national policy on such matters and take decisions that will not betray the country or the people.
The State Minister noted that the government should work for the best interest of the country.
He said however since they do not see the present government as having national policies and work towards the development of the country, they will launch a struggle against moves that are detrimental to the people.
