The Government Medical Officers’ Association says it is prepared to take all steps to defeat attempts made by officials of the Ministry of Health to create issues and privatise the health service.
The GMOA said the Chief Finance Officer is creating unnecessary issues in the health service when the Prime Minister and the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka have clearly indicated that salaries of state employees will be paid duly.
Secretary of the GMOA Dr. Senal Fernando said they will have a special discussion to discuss the matter today.
